1. What is SteelTailor G2?
SteelTailor G-2 Gantry CNC flame and plasma cutting machine is an effective, energy-saving equipment which is fit for cutting carbon steel, stainless steel &
Non-ferrous metal with all kinds of thickness, as is a heavy duty cycle machine, the SteelTailor G-2 allows you to save production time and materials with the delivered cutting software.
SteelTailor G-2 flame cutting can cut carbon steel with the thickness from 5mm to 300mm in high quality.
SteelTailor G-2 plasma cutting can cut the thickness of stainless steel, carbon steel and nonferrous metal from 0.5mm to 150mm in high quality.
SteelTailor G-2 also can work, thanks to his with the water bed to do under water cutting, which reduce a lot of dust, arc-light, harmful gas and noise.
2. Features
.1 Cross beam:
Robust construction, relieving stress, good rigidity, non-deforming, high precision, light of weight, and low inertia.
2.2 Longitudinal & transversal drivers:
Moving by servo motor. The transversal rail is straight rail with high precision, and longitudinal rails are manufactured with high precision. Transversal and longitudinal rail s allows the machine to run softly with high precision and height speed. They have a long life time.
The reducers are made in Germany, the servomotor are coming from Japan.

3. Sub-system description

3.1 CNC system
The CNC system used for the SteelTailor G-2 is a professional shape cutting motion control with the most advanced cutting technology in industrial PC based controls for maximizing productivity, improving quality, and reducing costs.
3.1.1 Systems Features
Function of dealing with cutting files:
• Supports EIA\ESSI standard NC code, and can compatibly support adding other code formats according to the user’s need.
• Has function of classifying and managing cutting files so that users can establish some classifying parts warehouse to store different kinds of cutting files by themselves.
• Can read cutting files from floppy disk, hard disk, USB memory key, and internet.
• Figure library function.
• Steel plate nesting (support irregular steel plate nesting; can collect and input scrap and nesting on scrap), which can enhance the resources utilization rate greatly.
• Supports editing cutting program by manuals.
• Instant display cutting figure
• Function on adding
Kerf compensation, mirror image, arrange, set-up cutting start, zoom in preview and repeat cutting of cutting program.
• Automatically collimate steel plate.
Cutting techniques feature:
It supports three kinds of Cut Modes-plasma\oxygen fuel gas\ powder injection and supports Auto and Manual two kinds of Cut Modes. It also supports the complex techniques and the system can automatically convert the cut mode to achieve the complex technique according to the actual code. Friendly HMI, abundant control feature can be used both in program cutting work and manual movement. Skip cutting function, can skip to any cutting line, and even can skip the whole cutting process at random. Special program break point and power cut restoration function (homing position remembrance, start point remembrance, break point remembrance). Bridge cutting function can be used at every necessary condition; this function is used for reducing plate heat distortion problem. By pass piercing point function: this function can be adopted when preheat on edge or restart cutting at the break point; after preheat, CNC will directly cutting without piercing. Special double axis synchronization adjustive system. Cutting track step forward and backward feature, can easy adjust the torch position after plasma cutting break down or pause cutting.

Letters and numbers cutting function:
The controller is easily used to cut letters and numbers.
By default the SteelTailor G-2 is equipped with our well know JT Digital controller
However according the user’s requirement, SteelTailor G-2 may be equipped with Hypertherm or Burny controller.

3.2 Automatic High Control and torch Lifter (only for plasma cutting)
3.2.1 System feature
PTHC system automatically maintains the optimum distance between the cutting torch and steel plate.
The PTHC can improve productivity and cutting quality, as well as reduce scrap and costs.
By maintaining a constant working distance
Between the torch tip and the plate, the PTHC System provides consistent high quality cuts, provides faster and more reliable piercing cycles, and enables the machine to cut at maximum spee
ds.
With consistent quality and accuracy, it reduces scrap. In addition, the System can
Maximize productivity by freeing the operator, allowing him to perform other tasks
while the torch operates unattended.
For the flame cutting a capacitive height control is installed.
