  FastCAM Software

FastCOPY® has been specifically developed for the simplest conversion of existing parts, templates, or drawings directly into NC code for oxy, plasma, laser, or waterjet profile cutting machines. The FastCOPY® (Offline) 2D Digitizing system will quickly add value to any busy service center or business needing to copy and profile cut complex parts or precision artwork from metal.

A major advantage is it’s simplicity. FastCOPY® is such an easy way to generate NC code. It compares to learning how to operate a fax machine. You don't have to be a draftsman or machine operator. Anyone can copy "off the street" parts in minutes ready for accurate profile cutting! It is CAD-free although the DXF output is compatible with CAD and CAM systems and the system also outputs optimized NC code.

FastCOPY® is an offline system: Some profile cutting machines have the capability to 'trace' a part however this is usually done with the machine not cutting as the operator is moving the machine manually between the inside and outside to capture the shape and save it. The way the machine saves the data results in jerky, slow movements which results in a lesser quality part. By using an offline system, you let the machine get on with the primary job of cutting. In addition, if you have a library of templates for your optical machine you can remove the need to slowly digitize them with the machine by using FastCOPY® for the job. This also address the memory problem as these files are large and cannot be stored on the machine for long as it runs out of space quickly.

FastCOPY® is accurate: Importantly, FastCOPY has built in functionality to ensure complex shapes are designed with as few entities (lines, arcs, circles) as possible, creating a tight and accurate NC program that can be directly sent to your profile cutting machine. In instances where the original part has been subject to wear and tear, FastCOPY® creates a better quality copy!

bballz.gif - 1024 Bytes Easy and Practical. - CAD-free operation and 'plug and play' digitizer makes it easy and portable.
bballz.gif - 1024 BytesCost Effective option for large scale vectorization. - Good alternative to Raster to Vector programs for existing paper templates - see footnote
bballz.gif - 1024 BytesOptical Tracing Upgrade? No need to hand calculate all your old paper templates. FastCOPY will allow direct conversion to NC code. Optical tracing capabilities without the high floor space requirements.
bballz.gif - 1024 BytesHighly Accurate. FastCOPY offers a high degree of accuracy. Better than +/- 0.010" (0.25mm) with a resolution of 0.0001" (0.0025mm)
bballz.gif - 1024 BytesDXF Output. Immediate output of accurate DXF files make the system compatible with all of your 3rd party CAD and CAM solutions. Parts can be nested immediately.
bballz.gif - 1024 BytesLimitless Template Size - FastCOPY allows the vectorization of any sized template with its smart recalibration option. Simply pause the digitizing process, move your template then continue. Optionally you can save your work then continue at a later stage
bballz.gif - 1024 BytesAll Processes Supported. Easily digitize all your required processes into the one program, Marking, Centre Punch / Pop Mark, and all cutting processes.
bballz.gif - 1024 BytesTrue Entity Generation. Ensures all arcs are true arcs, lines are true lines and Circles are true circles. NC Code is compact and the quality of cut is high.
bballz.gif - 1024 BytesMinimal training FastCOPY® is such a quick and simple way to generate NC code.
bballz.gif - 1024 BytesRollup, Portable GTCO Digitizer. New state of the art 36" x 48" digitizer that plugs directly into your USB port.

NOTE: CAD file formats are based on the location of points in 2D or 3D space with definitions attached to those locations and the space between them (commonly called 'Vectors'). Image files are based on 'Raster' formats which are a collection of dots. Raster formats are generated by scanning pictures or paper drawings and by image manipulation software and basic 'drawing' programs. Vector based formats can be scaled accurately and measured and manipulated on a line by line, entity by entity basis. Raster formats can only be edited by virtue of changing the dots that make up the picture. Given that CNC needs every line, arc or entity in precise and clean geometry, Vector is appropriate.
