FastBEAMTM has proven to be the simplest and fastest way to program Beam-lines, Angle-lines, and Flat Bar Processors.

These machines are used for drilling, punching and cutting of rolled shapes such as Beams, Channels, Angles, and Flat Bars.Suitable for machine brands such as: Wagner, Peddinghaus, Ficep and others.

The program has a common data entry procedure, allowing preparation of NC programs for different machines with the same procedures. In normal applications, the person entering the FastBEAMTM data doesn't need to know anything about the actual operation of the Beamline. All the limits, restrictions and peculiarities of the particular machine are built into the version of the program.

A graphics screen is used for visual checking of the data as it is entered. In the standard view, the vertical scales are exaggerated to provide clarity. Zoom facilities are provided to allow checking of details.

A catalogue of sections is included in the software, so that standard rolled shapes can be called up by name alone. AISC standard connection drillling data for the ends of each section is included in the database. This can be called up for a beam, with just a few key-strokes.

FastBEAMTM includes provision for mitre cuts and drill holes, and has checking facilities which ensure that holes are not drilled in the mitred region. It also has provision for flange and web copes, and will drill a hole at the radies of the cope if the radius and position are within the capability of the machine.
